I'm not going anywhere...

I’ve had a few conversations with patients recently, where I have mentioned that I’m moving towards doing some practitioner education, presenting courses on both DermoNeuroModulation (DNM) and Voodoo Floss later this year. Having written a bunch of course material, and had some discussions about where to hold them, it’s all still a bit of a work in progress, but you can learn more about at my new website!

No World Records Required

No World Records Required

Training to peak human performance is many things. It also has relevance for people who aren’t looking for a podium finish.

Koha Days at Christchurch Chiropractic

Koha Days at Christchurch Chiropractic

Back in February, when the tenth anniversary of the Christchurch earthquakes rolled around, I decided that I wanted to do something for Christchurch, on what was a pretty solemn day for many here. I decided that I would see everyone for no charge that day, to elevate the mood or however you want to think of it, in what small way I could. If they weren’t OK with accepting that as the gift it was intended to be, I encouraged them to pay it forwards in some way, or make a donation to City Mission.

Neurophysiology is a big word!

Neurophysiology is a big word!

What’s chiropractic about?
A literal translation from its Greek root words would be chiro- (hand) praktikos (practical/practiced) and more loosely, a better translation is ‘done by hand’. Past that, it’s a little complicated to answer easily, as there are many different methods that are employed by different practitioners.
But I can tell you very succinctly what I do, in my own practice, and the most applicable term, is ‘neurophysiology.’
